    Brian J. Gachot, 17, of West Ridge Street, Nanticoke, died Sunday at
    Children's Hospital of PhiladelphiaBorn in Scranton, he was the son of Joseph and Donna Olekszulin Gachot.
    He was a junior at Greater Nanticoke Area High School.
    He was a member of Colonial Lanes Junior Bowlers Association of Wyoming Valley and had earned several trophies for bowling. He served as an alter boy at Holy Trinity Church. He collected police patches as a hobby.
    He was a newspaper carrier for the Citizen's Voice for two years.
    He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Mary Gachot; maternal grandfather, Donald Olekszulin; and an infant sister, Mary.
    Surviving in addition to his parents, are sisters, Mary Beth, Nanticoke; Brenda Hohner, Long Island, N.Y.; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Olekszulin, Moosic; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
    A burial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home, with the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Michael Slevesko officiating.
    Interment will be in St. George Cemetery, Taylor.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
    A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday with the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Michael Slevesko officiating.
