    Eliza (Jenner) Overfield, 84, of Tunkhannock, died Friday in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
    She was born March 16, 1920, in East Rush, the daughter of Harrison and Pearl Jenner. She attended Rush High School.
    She and her husband, Seth Overfield, farmed for many years on their farm in South Auburn. She was post mistress of the Lawton post office, store, and gas station, which she owned and operated with her husband, Seth. She and Seth also operated the Susquehanna County Home and Farm. She retired from her job as office manager for Dr. Charles Kraft in Meshoppen after 15 years of loyal and dedicated service. She was a member of the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church.
    Some of her favorite past times were crocheting, baking, corresponding to friends and family, and spending time with her loved ones.
    She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Seth, with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage, and whose passing occurred only one week prior to her own. Also preceding her in death were her sister, Jean Wilson, and brothers, Gary and Arden Jenner.
    Surviving members of her family are her children, Audrey and Dave Roosa of Tunkhannock; Ellen Day of Meshoppen; and Judy and Steve Boyanowski of Mehoopany; grandchildren, Mike and Shelli Roosa of Mountain Top; Jerry and Kristal Roosa of Tunkhannock; Bill Cornell of Dryden, NY; Tim Cornell of Tunkhannock; Julie Cornell of Candor, NY; Amy and Scott Williams of West Grove; and Captain Brian and Alicia Boyanowski of Germany. Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
    Additional surviving members are sisters, Alberta McCabe of Lawton; and June (Paul) Wilson of Lemon; sisters-in-law, Norine Jenner of Hallstead; and Judy Jenner of New Jersey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    The viewing will be held on Monday, January 17, 2005, in Sheldon's Funeral Home, Meshoppen, from 7 to 9 p.m. An additional viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2005, from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Auburn Grange, PO Box 74, Meshoppen, Pa., or Tunkhannock United Methodist Church, PO Box 447, Tunkhannock, Pa., 18657.
