WILKES-BARRE – Scaffolding and fencing will be set up at Meyers High School today to allow for work on the roof.
Wilkes-Barre Area School District Superintendent Jeff Namey said the fencing around the building and scaffolding at three entrances could be in place for the rest of the school year.
The district is taking safety precautions because an evaluation of the roof raised concern about the parapets, Namey said.
The scaffolding will protect students, teachers and visitors entering and exiting the school. The fencing will provide a safety zone around the building.
