KINGSTON – A man from Kingston was arrested on charges of threatening his girlfriend and police officers on Monday.
Venice Saxton, 24, of West Market Street, told police her boyfriend, Rashon Spear, 23, had “gone crazy” when she kicked him out of her apartment. Saxton said Spear had a knife and was “stabbing her walls with a knife,” police said.
Police said Spear had made several threats to officers before he was arrested on terroristic threat charges.
WILKES-BARRE – Police are investigating two burglaries that happened within 30 minutes on Tuesday. The first burglary occurred at about 2:15 p.m. when someone entered the North Hancock Street home of Patricia Montijo and removed items. About 30 minutes later, Catheryn Kreidler told police her Hazle Avenue home was entered by someone who stole items.
WILKES-BARRE – License plates on three cars in Wilkes-Barre were reported stolen.
• Jasmine Giles, 24, of Carlisle Street, said her license plate, GHK 0382, was stolen from her car that was parked near her home on Saturday.
• Carl Remaley, 22, of Marlborough Street, said his plate, ECP 1502, was stolen from his 2005 Honda.
• Yvonne Cobb, 70, Barney Street, said license plate, FGP 1840, was taken from her 2002 Dodge.
HAZLETON – A 15-year-old female student at Hazleton Area High School was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment on Tuesday, state police at Hazleton said.
Police said the girl bit a school security officer who attempted to break up an altercation between two girls at about 8:20 a.m.
