Teachers recognized for years of service Ashley Davis Seton Catholic High School

TEACHERS SHAPE the minds of tomorrow. They unlock the knowledge that is within each and every one of us. On Monday, Sept. 25, several of our teachers were presented with the inaugural Pope John Paul II Award for 25 or more years of service in the Catholic schools of the Diocese of Scranton.

The Seton teachers honored were Ms. Nancy Kashuba, Sister Mary Pio Ferrario, IHM, Ms. Beverly Glennon, Mr. Joseph Suchocki, Mrs. Karen Ziegler, Mrs. Eileen Loftus, Mrs. Mary Monichelli, Mrs. Denise Yanchick, and Mr. James Redington.

They were honored for their collective 298 years of service to St. John the Evangelist and Seton Catholic High School. This is truly an astounding number of years of dedication and a great accomplishment. We at Seton are so proud to call these teachers our own. We honored them with a ceremony on the morning of Friday, Sept. 29.

The Drama Club will go on a field trip to the University of Scranton tomorrow to see the University Players.

This will be a great learning experience for the Drama Club.

Until next time, our school is not just a building; it’s the learning, loving, and sharing of Jesus Christ that matters to us.
