Joelyn (Jodi) James, 46, of Shavertown and formerly Jodi Pupalitis of Scranton, died Thursday in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital after a very courageous battle with cancer.
She was employed by McDonald’s in Shavertown prior to her illness. Jodi was an active member and Sunday school teacher at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Dallas.
She is survived by her husband Eric (Rick) James; sons Christopher and Justin Oset; Robert Trumbo Jr.; mother Freda Joseph, Scranton; brother Martin Pupalitis, Scranton; sister Deann Eisenhauer, Scranton; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her dear father Martin (Juno) Pupalitis.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 140 N. Main St., Shavertown, continuing at 11 a.m. in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Dallas, with the Rev. Charles Grube officiating.
Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton.
Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
