Frederick H. Collins, 72, of Bear Creek Township, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 28, 2006, at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
He was born in Massena, N.Y., a son of the late Frederick and Hazel Collins. He was a graduate of Fairport High School, New York, and Rochester Institute of Technology, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in business.
He was a veteran of the Naval Reserve during the Korean conflict, a former Scoutmaster and an avid outdoorsman. He resided in Bradenton, Fla., from 1975 until his retirement in 2001.
Surviving are sons Daniel Collins, Sterling, Va.; David Collins, Syracuse, N.Y.; Douglas Collins, Bear Creek Township; Donald Collins, Bradenton, Fla.; daughter Diane Benke, Syracuse, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother Charles Collins, Parrish, Fla.; nieces and nephews
Memorial services will be held at a future date. Arrangements are by Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
