William J. Eaton, 78, of Suscon, died Sunday, December 3, 2006, at Mountain View Care Center, Scranton.
Born on April 4, 1928, in Hughestown, he was a son of the late William Eaton and Hanna (Morris) Eaton Meehan. He was a member of St. John’s Primitive Methodist Church, Avoca. He attended Pittston schools and was an Army veteran during the Korean Conflict.
William loved his dog, Toby, he also enjoyed planting flowers and gardening around his home.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his step-father, Vincent Meehan; and brother Raymond.
He is survived by his sister with whom he resided, June Eaton. Also surviving are his brother, James H., and wife Betty Eaton, Bloomfield, NJ; his cousin, Herman, and wife Louise Lewis, Meshoppen.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2006, with services at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Primitive Methodist Church, 314 Main St., Avoca. Pastor Rich Rock will officiate.
Family and friends should arrive at the church by 10:45 a.m. Friends may call today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Kiesinger Funeral Services, 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
Interment will be held at Memorial Shrine Cemetery, 8th St., Carverton.
