Amy Lynn Owca

Amy Lynn Owca, of Anthracite Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Sunday at home. Born April 29, 1986, she was daughter of David and Connie Schiel Owca of Wilkes-Barre. She was a graduate of G.A.R. High School, class of 2004, where she was captain of the cheerleaders, homecoming queen, a member of Miss UNICO Pageant, and a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Wilkes-Barre.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are brother David, at home; maternal grandfather Frederick C. Schiel Sr.; paternal grandparents Stanley and Helen Zamulinsky Owca; uncles and aunts Cindy and Frank Pisano, Carleen and Len Moleski, Fred and JoAnn Schiel, Frank and JoAnne S. Schiel, Donna Owca, Dennis and Cindy Owca, Anne Owca; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by grandmother Irene Eyerman Schiel and uncle Daniel Owca.

Funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
