Byron E. Partington Jr., 63, of Reyburn Road, Shickshinny, passed away Saturday at home.
Born in Chester, Pa., on May 8, 1943, he was a son of the late Byron and Belva Mitchell Partington.
He grew up in lower Muhlenburg. He was employed as a sales manager for DelBalso Suzuki of Kingston. With a lifetime love for cars, he spent numerous years in many aspects of the automobile business. He enjoyed camping with his grandchildren and spending time at the beach.
He was a former member of the Hunlock Creek Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Pearson, in 1986.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, the former Joyce Yost; sons John and Jim, both of Sweet Valley; daughters Tina Partington Guess, of Nanticoke; Jen Zagata, of Muhlenburg; Kim Spencer, of Shickshinny Lake; brothers Charles E. Sr., of Inkerman; Richard L., of Nanticoke; half-brother Frank, of Sugarloaf; six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Charles L. Cease Funeral Home, 634 Reyburn Road, Shickshinny, with the Rev. C. Glenn Neely of the Reyburn Bible Church officiating.
Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Stillwater. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Byron can be made at the funeral home.
