Dazelle Lorraine Ridall, 88, a former resident of Koonsville, Shickshinny, passed away March 24, 2007, at Bloomsburg Hospital. She had been a resident of the Bonham Nursing Center for the past three years.
She was born on June 29, 1918, in Reyburn, a daughter of the late Harry J. and Myrtle M. Baer Martin. She graduated in 1935 from the former Shickshinny High School and was a member of the former Koonsville Bible Church, where she played the piano for services.
She was a 25-year member of the Wise Potato Chip Club. Dazelle retired from Wise after 40 years of service. She enjoyed fishing and hunting in her younger years, and enjoyed going on vacation with her family. She also enjoyed bus trips and liked country music and square dancing.
Dazelle had many friends, and everywhere she went, there was always someone that knew her. She will surely be missed by all her friends and family.
Surviving are her daughter, Eldoras Wright, Koonsville; son Lester Ridall, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandsons Brian Wright, Koonsville; Michael and wife Cathy Wright, Hughesville; Darren Wright, Berwick; great-grandchildren Nathan, Berwick; and Krispin Wright, Hughesville; step great-granddaughter Christine Rutkowski, Hughesville.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Clarke Piatt Funeral Home Inc., 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek, with the Rev. C. Glenn Neely officiating. Interment will be in Sorber Cemetery, Reyburn, Shickshinny.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be sent to Bonham Nursing Center, Activity Dept., 477 Bonnieville Road, Stillwater, PA 17878. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
