Anna K. Zajac, 85, of Hobbie, Pa., ended her journey in this life, at 11:45 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2007, in St. Luke Manor, Hazleton.
Born in Dorrance, on February 28, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Guzik.
In her earlier years, she was employed by Campbell Soup Company and assisted her late husband in the operation of their farm.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Dorrance, and its Alter and Rosary Society.
She enjoyed baking, sewing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Stanley S. Zajac, who died January 4, 2002; brothers and sister John, Stanley and Joseph Guzik and Sophie Bednar.
She will be remembered by two daughters Katherine Direnza, of Newark, Del., and Jane Gross, of Hobbie; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren.
She was the last member of the immediate family.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Dorrance. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Arrangements are by the Heller Funeral Home, 633 Third St., Nescopeck.
