Anthony Tarnalicki, of Plains Township, passed away Saturday evening at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Wilkes-Barre Township, he was a son of the late Joseph and Antoinette Tarnalicki. He was educated in Wilkes-Barre Township schools and employed by Johnsberry Trucking and Mason-Dixon Trucking. He was also employed by Merlino’s Flowers.
He was a member of the Marine Corps League, Miners Mills, and Teamsters Local 401. Mr. Tarnalicki played Santa Claus at Ace Hoffman Studios, Russian Orthodox Church, and the Marine Corps League. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church, Plains Township, and served as an usher.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Johanna Suhena.
Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Wolfe, with whom he was married for 35 years; sons, Anthony Tarnalicki Jr., Plains Township; and Thomas Tarnalicki, Port Griffith; daughters, Kathleen Breznay, Swoyersville; Barbara Marsh, Kingston; Margaret Ann Tarnalicki, Exeter; stepson, Roy Booth, Plains Township; stepdaughter, Susan Faltz, Plains Township; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Tarnalicki, Georgetown section of Wilkes-Barre Township; Joseph, Sugar Notch; John and Casmier, both of New Jersey.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at Michael J. Mikelski Funeral Home, 293 S. River St., Plains Township. A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Church, Plains Township.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Plains Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
