Lillian I. Drahus 84, of the Shantytown section of Jenkins Township died Saturday afternoon at her home.
Born in Plains Township, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Stella (Michalski) Wasmanski.
She was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, class of 1941, and was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Drahus, in 1982; infant son David Drahus; sisters Josephine Hannon, Sophie Roller, Anna Trebunak and Ethel Chimola; brothers Joseph, Anthony, Edward, John, Frank and Stanley Wasmanski.
Surviving are her sons, John Drahus and his wife Suzanne, Plains; Joseph Drahus and his wife, Tina, West Wyoming; daughter Carol Wisloski and her husband, Michael, Dale City, Virginia; grandchildren Tanya Greeley; Antoinette Paone; Joseph, David and Carly Drahus; Ann and Laura Wisloski; great grandchildren Anna Greeley and John David Paone; brother Clement Wasmanski, Wilkes-Barre; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Oct. 2 from the Corcoran Funeral Home, 20 South Main Street, Plains, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maria Goretti Church. Interment, St. Michael’s Cemetery, Pittston.
