William M. Bentham Sr., of Pittston, died Thursday morning at home. His wife is the former Donna Swaha.
Born in Pittston, he was a son of the late Hugh and Elizabeth (Carlin) Bentham. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church, Avoca. He attended schools in Manassas, Va., and was a U.S. Marine veteran. He was employed by Panel Prints, Old Forge.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother; and loved football and baseball.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Crystal, Nichole and Courtney; son, William Jr., all at home; sisters, Colleen McAndrew and husband Billy, Alice Bentham and Darlene Vermac, all of Avoca; several brothers- and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Ruane & Regan Funeral Home, 1308 Grove St., Avoca. A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Church, Avoca. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Cemetery, Elmhurst, for the immediate family.
