Spencer Bowanko scored 10 points and Ryan Martin added eight to lead the Dallas Youth Basketball fourth grade boys to a 37-10 victory over Lehman-Jackson in the championship game of the annual DYB fourth grade boys tournament.
David Simpson added six points for Dallas, which finished the tournament with a record of 4-0. Kyle James scored three points for Lehman.
St. Al’s 6
DYB defeated St. Al’s, 37-6, behind seven points from Daniel Mingey.
Adam Niznik scored seven points and Daniel Mingey added four as DYB opened pool play with a 29-23 win over Mountaintop. Robbie Hopkins led Mountaintop with a game-high 14 points.
DYB defeated Lehman in pool play, 53-19, behind 22 points from Aaron Yurko and nine from Kyle Archer and Tanner Gattuso. Tommy Williams led Lehman with nine points.
Lehman reached the final with a thrilling 13-10 win over Mountaintop. Ben Brooks led Lehman with four points.
In other games, Lehman edged St. Al’s, 13-12, and Mountaintop defeated St. Al’s, 30-6.
Hanover Red 10
Matt Saba scored 11 points and Kyle Razawich added 10 as the Dallas Youth Basketball sixth grade boys tournament team won its opening-round game, 54-10, against Hanover Redat the annual CYC tournament.
All players scored in the contest with Nigel Stearns hitting for nine points and Justin Brojakowski adding seven. Chris Behm had six points and Aaron Napkora had five while Jory Brezinski added four points and Blake Williams had two.
