Lois Miller, 76, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Monday, May 19.
Born as Ruth Lois Carroll in Forty Fort on May 27, 1931, she was a daughter of the late William and Esther Mae (Sippel) Carroll. She was a graduate of Kingston High School and attended Wyoming Seminary Business School. She was a former member of Forty Fort Presbyterian Church.
She was formerly employed by PG&W and later by Blue Cross, until retiring in the 1990s.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester W. Miller, who passed away June 18, 1985.
Surviving are her son, David Miller, Wilkes-Barre; daughter Diane M. Molnar, Hanover Township; grandchildren Bernadette Martin and her husband, Donald, and Jessica Cowell; cousins Donna Sue Smith, Cindie Hayes and Barbara Swift; companion William Chalker.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Anita McGowan, chaplain of Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre, officiated.
