Terroristic-threat charges vs. 2 men Police Blotter

WILKES-BARRE – City police made the following arrests:

• Michael T. Walter, 37, of Wilkes-Barre, was arrested at 10:17 p.m. Saturday and charged with making terroristic threats after he allegedly made several threats to kill the owner of the Villa Grove Café after he was told to leave the bar at 125 Grove St. for allegedly being disorderly.

• Christopher Coaty, 32, was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats after his girlfriend, Melissa Curry, 28, alleged that he pushed her to the ground and threatened to kill her with a knife.

• David Bruce, 28, of Hanover Township, was arrested on an active warrant for receiving stolen property and was also charged with possession of a controlled substance after an officer spotted him while on patrol at 7:39 p.m. Saturday, approached him and engaged in a foot pursuit of Bruce.

Police said Bruce was captured and found in possession of suspected heroin.

• Alyssa Komorek, 29, of 215 E. Main St., faces charges of endangering the welfare of children after she allegedly left her three children under the age of 7 alone at home while she went drinking at a bar on Tuesday, police said.

WILKES-BARRE – City police arrested the following people on evidence of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

• David Miscavage, 23, of White Haven, after a traffic stop at 3:14 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Scott Street.

• Melissa Jones, 29, of Wilkes-Barre, after a traffic stop at 11:51 p.m. Saturday.

• Scott Kowaleski, 39, of Wilkes-Barre, after a traffic stop at 1:28 a.m. Sunday.

• Peter McGinnis, 50, after an incident in Kirby Park.

WILKES-BARRE – City police issued public drunkenness citations on Saturday to:

• Jeremy Roper, 36, after an incident at 295 S. Main St.

• Martin Gushock, 39, after an incident at 295 S. Main St.

• Ronald Hoffman, 44, after an incident at 80 Linden St.

WILKES-BARRE – City police reported the following:

Kevin Homa, of 132 S. Franklin St., reported that someone smashed the front passenger side window of his vehicle sometime between 2 and 8 a.m. Sunday while the vehicle was parked behind his residence.

• Ronald Wilkinson reported on Sunday that someone removed the side mirrors of his vehicle sometime between June 16 and Saturday while his vehicle was parked at his place of employment at 80 New Frederick St.

• Robert Gelsleichter, of 150 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre, reported that someone smashed out the rear passenger window of his 2007 Ford while it was parked in front of his residence.• Marian Hagan, of 128 Madison St., reported at 4 a.m. Sunday that someone entered her residence and stole property.
