Seventh Annual Lebanese-American Food Festival St. Joseph Melkite (pronounced Mel-Kite) Greek-Catholic Church on Cabrini Avenue, West Scranton, Aug. 9 from 4-1 1 p.m. and Aug. 10 from 12-7 p.m. on the church grounds. Enter off lower Jackson Street, one block below North Main Avenue. Lebanese foods such as stuffed grape leaves, kibbee, meat and spinach pies, shish kebob, baklava and other local picnic favorites will be served. There will be games, basket raffle, bingo, 50/50 and used book sale. Church tours, icons and religious items will be available during festival hours. For information call 343-6092.

Annual Ice Cream Social from 4-7 p.m., Aug. 16 at the Wyoming Presbyterian Church. Hot dogs and trimmings, ice cream with strawberries, homemade cake and beverage. Tickets are at the social.

All-You-Can-Eat Crab Fest, 2 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Nuangola Grove, 5177 Nuangola Road. Catering by Green Street Restaurant will include hardshell crabs, clam chowder, peel-and-eat shrimp, steamed clams, hamburgers, hot dogs, fresh cut fries, pasta salad, coleslaw and beverages. 4th Annual Summer Vegetarian Potluck Picnic and Barbecue, sponsored by The Vegetarian Way, noon-3 p.m. Aug. 19 at Merry-Go-Round Ranch, Glen Summit, near Mountain Top.
