PITTSTON: Friends of the Pittston Library at 7 p.m. at the library on Broad Street. All members are urged to attend. Participation in the Pittston Tomato Festival parade in August and the fall festival and book sale in October will be discussed. New members are invited.

KINGSTON: British Women’s Club of Wyoming Valley, a British Heritage Society, at 7 p.m. at the Gateway Community Room Kingston. Hostesses will be Jane Jones, Joan Wildes, Norma Jenkins and Laura Lenio. Mary Holzmann will preside. Members are reminded to bring items for the Chinese auction.

DALLAS: Irem Women’s Auxiliary at noon at the Irem Country Club in Dallas. Mrs. Frank Wagner is chairperson and Mrs. Dennis Bonning is co-chairperson. Irene Transue will give the invocation. The menu is Manhattan clam chowder with a choice of baked salmon or chicken cordon bleu; rice pilaf, orange dill carrots, and lemon meringue pie for $15.
