Biden sets Nesbitt Park visit

PHILADELPHIA – Democratic vice presidential candidate Sen. Joe Biden will hold a community event at Nesbitt Park in Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, according to a campaign press release.

Biden will speak to voters about the economic crisis that is impacting Pennsylvania families. He will discuss how a Barack Obama administration would work to jump start the economy and fight for the middle class.

The event will be on the West Bank of the Susquehanna River, at the foot of the Market Street Bridge. The event will be open at 1 p.m., and the program, which is free and open to the public, begins at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are not required, but those with tickets will be guaranteed admittance. Those without tickets will be admitted as space permits.

Tickets will be distributed, first-come, first-served, at Campaign For Change Wilkes-Barre HQ, 238 Kidder St., Wilkes-Barre, 1-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday; Campaign for Change Scranton HQ, 222 Wyoming Ave., Scranton, 1-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday; Campaign for Change Hazleton HQ, 44 W Broad St., Hazleton, 1-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m-9-p.m. Wednesday.
