Gertrude E. Williams, 72, of Exeter Avenue, Exeter, died Sunday morning in the Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Gustave and Leona Ryan Thieman. She was a former member of St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Preceding her in death was her son, Steven; sisters, Leona McKay and Marie Thomas; brothers, Gustave, Robert, Joseph, Leonard, Francis, Frederick, Edward and John Thieman.
Surviving is her husband, Harold; daughter Diane Williams, Exeter; sister Irene Bardick, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren Amy Williams, Nicole Novick and Steven Williams; great-grandchildren Sierra Williams, Jared McPeek, Jamie Hobbs, Antonio Anthony Perna, Jason Crawford, Michael Sharp, Jada Sharp; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Metcalfe and Shaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with the Rev. Jeffery Klansek of the First Baptist Church of Wyoming officiating. Interment will be in the Wyoming Cemetery.
