Marilyn T. Bona, of Mountain Top, died Monday morning in the Hospice Community Care Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Ashley, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Lila (Bietschmidt) Templeton. She was a graduate of Ashley High School and was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she was an active member of the Ruth Group. Marilyn was a former member of the Ashley Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School, was a president of the Graham Chapter of the Westminster Guild and sang in the choir. She was also a Girl Scout leader.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were sisters Audrey Templeton Pistusczak and Barbara Templeton.
Surviving are her husband, Benjamin; daughters Marilyn Boylan and her fiancée, Jim Pinnell; and Mary Beth Bona; a brother, Raymond G. Templeton, Mt. Bethel, Pa.; niece Cynthia Bogino; grandniece Eva Bogino, Silver Springs, Md.; and several cousins.
Private graveside services will be held at the Maple Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family and will be conducted by the Rev. Carol Coleman.
