John DeCinti

Mr. John M. (Jack) DeCinti, 63, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and a former resident of Dallas and Harveys Lake, died Friday, September 19, 2008 at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Mr. DeCinti was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Ferdinand and Mary (Smith) DeCinti. He was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School and attended the former Wilkes College, both of Wilkes-Barre. He had been employed as the sales manager by Wilkes-Barre Wholesale Company, Wilkes-Barre, and manager of Cosmic Train and Gallery Lounge of Edwardsville. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

He and his wife, the former Barbara A. Sabol, celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on October 9, 2007.

Surviving besides his wife, Barbara, at home, is a brother, Fred, and his wife, Pierette, of Southlake, Texas; brother-in-law, Joseph Sabol, Forty Fort; mother-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Sabol, Forty Fort, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Holy Name/St, Mary’s Parish Community, 283 Shoemaker Street, Swoyersville, with the Rev. Louis A. Grippe, Pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in the Sabol family mausoleum in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Dorchester Drive, Dallas. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
