PSU — Graham Zug 5-yard pass from Daryll Clark (Kevin Kelly kick), 7:41. Drive: 4 plays, 59 yards, 1:54. Comment: A welcome sight for the Penn State sideline – Clark back to finding Jordan Norwood over the middle of the field. The pair hook up for a 49-yard gain down to the MSU 10, and three plays later Clark scrambles to his right and finds Zug for a tightrope TD at the boundary. PENN STATE 7, MICHIGAN STATE 0.

PSU — Dan Lawlor 4-yard run (Kelly kick), 12:01. Drive: 12 plays, 86 yards, 5:07. Comment: Penn State’s longest scoring drive of the season (yardage-wise) comes at an opportune time as Clark converts three straight third downs through the air. In his last home game, the fullback gets a little love for a Senior Day score. PSU 14, MSU 0.

PSU — Clark 1-yard run (Kelly kick), 3:57. Drive: 8 plays, 71 yards, 3:16. Comment: The Lions continue to come up big on third down, converting a third-and-17 with a 37-yard screen pass to Stephfon Green. On another third down, Clark hit Zug again for 21 yards down to the 1 and finished it off himself. PSU 21, MSU 0.

PSU — Derrick Williams 32-yard pass from Clark (Kelly kick), 2:52. Drive: 1 play, 32 yards, 0:07. Comment: Disaster for Sparty, as QB Brian Hoyer’s underthrown pass is snatched by senior safety Anthony Scirrotto at midfield and sets up PSU at the MSU 32. Williams makes it count on the very next play, making a great leaping catch at the goal line for the score. PSU 28, MSU 0.

MSU — Javon Ringer 1-yard run (Brett Swenson kick), 0:22. Drive: 14 plays, 76 yards, 2:25. Comment: A critical drive for the Spartans draws some boos from the home crowd after officials flag PSU for pass interference twice near the goal line to keep the march alive. Ringer keeps his team alive. PSU 28, MSU 7.

PSU — Deon Butler 4-yard pass from Clark (Kelly kick), 4:34. Drive: 8 plays, 70 yards, 3:21. Comment: More impressive efficiency on third down from Clark, as he finds Norwood on third-and-11 for a gain of 33 down to the MSU 9. A few plays later, it was Clark on third down again, finding Butler on a slant. PSU 35, MSU 7.

PSU — Butler 70-yard pass from Clark (Kelly kick), 1:32. Drive: 5 plays, 96 yards, 2:19. Comment: PSU thwarts a trick play as Lydell Sargeant picks off a Hoyer deep ball after Ringer tossed it across the field for him. Clark then fakes a bubble screen, fakes a delayed draw handoff and finally nails a streaking Butler five strides behind the burnt corner. PSU 42, MSU 7.

PSU — Butler 59-yard pass from Pat Devlin (Kelly kick), 12:50. Drive: 6 plays, 80 yards, 2:10. Comment: Another fake, another laughably open Butler on the deep ball. The senior had only three catches on the day -- all going for touchdowns. There will be no great MSU comeback this year. PSU 49, MSU 7.

MSU — Swenson 30-yard field goal, 9:09. Drive: 10 plays, 50 yards, 3:34. Comment: The backups are in and the Spartans take the easy points on principle. PSU 49, MSU 10.

MSU — Mark Dell 23-yard pass from Kirk Cousins (Deon Curry pass from Cousins), 1:09. Drive: 5 plays, 58 yards, 1:27. Comment: Turnabout is fair play, as MSU’s backup goes deep for a score to match the one Devlin tossed. PSU 49, MSU 18.

There were plenty of tears in the tunnel before the game for a senior class that just made Penn State history by winning two Big Ten titles. And there were highlights for all. The senior wideouts each scored or had a career day. The offensive line was dominant. The secondary had two picks and the defense as a whole held Javon Ringer to his worst day of the season. Up next: Pasadena.
