Mr. and Mrs. Michael Walsh of Dallas observed their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 6. They were married in Holy Trinity Church in Swoyersville by the Rev. Stephen Klobusicki.
The bride is the daughter of John and Anna Chichvar of Swoyersville and the groom is the son of John and Agnes Walsh of Sugar Notch.
Attendants were: the late Anna Eustice, maid of honor; Gerald Walsh, brother of the groom, best man; Agnes Walsh Castle; Leona Vitanovitz Micholichick; the late Patricia Reilly Mullins; the late Thomas Lenihan; and Martin Lenihan. The bride was given in marriage by her late brother, Andrew.
Mr. Walsh was employed as a claims supervisor by New Jersey Transit for 34 years, retiring in 1986.
Michael and Helen were very active in the Newark Knights of Columbus and El Zagel Caravan #7 Order of Alhambra, where Michael was a Past Grand Knight and Past Grand Commander. He is a life member in both organizations.
They are the parents of one son, Ronald, who resides in Swoyersville with his wife, Margaret.
The couple resides in Dallas. A family dinner is planned.
