EDWARDSVILLE: The Edwardsville Senior Center, 57 Russell St., will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25 for the holiday.

On Friday, there will be an Introduction to Wii and Wii Fitness held at 10 a.m. and the Healthy Steps Exercise-Balance Program will take place at 11:15 a.m.

KINGSTON: The Kingston Senior Citizen Center, 680 Wyoming Ave., will be closed Thursday for the Christmas holiday and will reopen Friday with normal hours of operation.

Gift certificates for memberships or meals may be purchased at the center. For more information, call 287-1102.

PITTSTON: A mock fire and fire extinguisher demonstration was recently conducted by Simplex at Oakwood Terrace, an assisted living community specializing in memory care.

Staff participating included Sabrina Matticks, resident aide, Theresa Janosov and Erica Jones.

SHICKSHINNY: Wednesday is Candy Cane Day at the Shickshinny Senior Center, 19 W. Vine St.

WILKES-BARRE: The Miners Mills Community Club recently elected the following officers: Vickie Kwiatkoski, president; Jean M. Bohac, vice president; Monica Chulvick, secretary; and Antionette Stec, treasurer.

A donation was made to Ruth’s Place. The club will not conduct meetings in December or January. Activities will resume in February.

WILKES-BARRE: Bingo will be played at the Lee Park Senior Center, 140 Lee Park Ave., after lunch today. The center will be closed Thursday in celebration of Christmas.

The center will reopen Friday at 10 a.m.
