Mrs. Alicia M. (DeNardi) Siewell, 60, of Plains Township, passed into Eternal Life Saturday evening at her residence, following a valiant battle with cancer.
Born April 20, 1948, in Exeter, she was a daughter of Eugene DeNardi of Exeter and the late Christine (Schneck) DeNardi.
Educated in the Exeter schools, she graduated from the former Exeter High School, Class of 1965. Mrs. Siewell furthered her education by attaining a degree in nursing from the former Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1968.
Until her retirement, she had been employed as a registered nurse in the Oncology Department of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
Alicia is remembered by family and friends as being a loving woman who enjoyed spending time with and caring for her family and two pet cats.
In addition to her mother, Christine, she was pre-deceased by two infant children.
Surviving in addition to her father, Eugene, of Exeter, are her husband of 17 years, John Siewell, at home; daughter Jennifer Musto, Woodbridge, N.J.; brother Eugene DeNardi, Chesapeake, Va.; stepsons Timothy Siewell, Plains, and Brian Siewell, Moosic; step grandson Joey Siewell, Wilkes-Barre; a niece, Lauren DeNardi; and a nephew, Sanders DeNardi, both of Chesapeake, Va., several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family from the John V. Morris Funeral Home, 625 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre. Relatives and friends may join her family for visitation and remembrances today, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
