Misericordia students volunteer in Texas during spring break

Thirty-five members of the Misericordia University campus community spent spring break doing service work in Laredo, Tex., and Slidell, La. Students returned to the areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina. They participated in three Habitat for Humanity projects in Slidell. In the border town of Laredo, volunteers worked in a children’s orphanage and volunteered in a shelter for immigrants in Mexico.
