Redeemer scores sweep on the road

BERWICK — Holy Redeemer went on the road and pulled out a 25-16, 25-9, 25-20 sweep of Berwick on Wednesday in a Wyoming Valley Conference boys volleyball match.

Leading the Royals were Nick Latosek (6 kills, 2 blocks, 26 assists, 10 points, 3 digs), Aaron Remakus (12 kills, 1 block, 10 points), Brian May (10 kills, 2 blocks, 3 points, 5 digs), Zach Redding (9 kills, 4 blocks, 4 assists, 10 points) and Steve Covert (9 kills, 3 blocks, 6 points).

North Pocono 3, Tunkhannock 0

Joe Bonacci had seven kills and Matt Smith had 16 service points to lead North Pocono to a 25-6, 25-13, 25-9 win.

Sam Hill and James Hawk had two kills and three blocks apiece for the Tigers. Connor McCloskey also had two kills and two blocks.

Coughlin 3, Delaware Valley 1

Michael Shmakov (10 kills, 14 pts), Tim Long (53 assists) and Brian Suchoski (46 assists, 16 kills) helped lead the Crusaders to a 25-22, 25-21, 19-25, 25-19 victory.

Stanley Dutkus (9 kills, 5 blocks, 9 digs, 1 ace) Brendan Sheldon (6 kills, 6 blocks, 9 points) and Jesse Merbler (9 points, 2 blocks, 8 digs) topped the Warriors.

Lake-Lehman 3, Hanover Area 0

Brad Kabosky dished out 33 assists and notched one kill to lead the Black Knights to victory over the Hawkeyes by scores of 25-8, 25-19, 25-9.

Josh Perry, Jared Brown and Zack Lofthouse each had eight kills for Lake-Lehman.

Crestwood 3, Wyoming Area 0

In a match played Tuesday, the Comets earned a 25-17, 25-12, 25-11 sweep.
