Ann H. Williams, 92, died Friday, June 19, 2009.
Born in Pittston, she graduated from West Pittston High School in 1935. She also graduated from Robert Packer Hospital as a registered nurse in 1939 and Columbia University as an X-ray technician in 1954. A resident of Morristown, N.J. for most of her life and Dallas, after she retired from AT&T Bell Labs after 35 years of service.
She was co-owner with her husband of Williams Surgical Appliances in Morristown, N.J., for 35 years. Mrs. Williams was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Dallas, and was past matron of Evening Star chapter in Morristown, N.J., and member of Order of the Eastern Star, Pearl Chapter 79 of New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert Morse Williams, in 1999; her mother and father, Elizabeth and William Hunt; sister, Peggy Jane Smith; and brothers, Samuel and William Hunt.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Diane Williams, of Macedonia, Ohio; grandchildren, Lisa (Scott) Polidoro, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Kevin Williams, of Chicago, Ill., and Scott Williams of Providence, R.I.; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Nathan Polidoro; and sister, Patti Lou Lumley of Buena Park, Calif.
The Rev. Roger E. Griffith will conduct memorial service on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 105 Irem Road, Dallas. Burial will be at Fern Knoll Cemetery in Dallas.
