Tech students volunteer for F.I.S.T. program

Students in the Law Enforcement/Police Science Program at West Side Career and Technology Center were recognized for their efforts in combating underage smoking through the F.I.S.T. (Fighting Illegal Sale of Tobacco) program. The F.I.S.T. program is a state-wide program that is administered locally by the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department. The students volunteered their time to act as Tobacco Free Agents in order to insure that the tobacco laws of Pennsylvania are enforced by retail stores throughout Luzerne County.
