Catherine B. Schooley, formerly of Wilkes-Barre and Shavertown, died on Saturday at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre.
Born April 12, 1924, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Connolly Manganella. She was a graduate of Meyers High School, Class of 1942. She was a seamstress in the garment industry throughout the Wyoming Valley. She was a member of St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton, in 2003; brothers, Thomas and Michael Manganella.
Catherine is survived by his sons, Richard and his wife, Ruth Schooley, of Levittown; Michael and his wife, Henrietta Schooley, of Trucksville; daughter, Kathleen and her husband, Chester Prushinski, of Nanticoke; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dolores Lynch, Columbus, Ohio, Jeanne Decker, San Diego, Calif., Beverly Hanley, Dallas, Winifred Finden, Monson, Mass.; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday at noon from the Mamary-Durkin Funeral Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Those who desire may give memorial contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice.
