Wilkes students present plant biology research posters

Five Wilkes University students presented their scientific research at the American Society of Plant Biologists meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, this summer. The students were accompanied by Dr. William Terzaghi, a Wilkes University professor of biology. The society’s annual meeting is attended by nearly 2,000 scientists from around the world. The students presented posters describing their research work. The participating students were: Casey Grow, a biochemistry major, Elysburg; Neil Kocher, a biology major, Mountain Top; Naseem Mian, a biochemistry major, Johnston City, N.Y.; Zachary Roberts, a biology major, Kingston; and Jay Shah, a biology major, Vestal, N.Y. The students stayed an extra day to visit the island and go snorkeling at Shark’s Cove after the meeting. From left: Grow, Shah, Roberts, Kocher, Mian, Terzaghi.
