Alice O’Malley, 96, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Kingston Commons, Kingston.
She was born Sept. 6, 1913, in Kingston, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth McCormick O’Malley.
Alice was employed by King’s College for 36 years, working in the business department.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Kathleen O’Malley Smith and Marie O’Malley; nieces Kathleen Wood and Ann Smith.
Surviving are her niece, Elizabeth Kearney, Kingston; six great-nieces, Katie Gardner and her husband, Tom, Boulder, Colo.; Liza Sproat and her husband, Michael, Ardmore; Molly Connor and her husband, Tom, Forty Fort; Anne Hewitt and her husband, Jason, Austin, Texas; Maureen Wilson, S. Plainfield, N.J.; Beth Lindsey, North Port, Fla.; five great-nephews, Ned Wood and his wife, Gina, Kingston; Joe Wood, Kingston; Pat Wood and his wife, Liz, Crystal Lake, Ill.; Frank Kearney, Kingston; Joe Kearney, Kingston; also surviving are numerous great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Kingston Commons Nursing Home for the excellent care that Alice received.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church, Kingston. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Pringle. The family will receive friends at the church from 8:30 a.m. until the service time.
