The Nanticoke Recreation Board will be sponsoring a free coed soccer camp for the children of Nanticoke. The camp will be directed by Keystone College soccer coach Chad Prince and Nanticoke High School assistant coach Ryan Amos. The sessions will be broken down into age brackets and will run as follows: Sept. 27 – U9 and U10 players – 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; Oct. 4 – U11 and U12 players – 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; Oct. 11 – U13, U14 and U15 players – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Oct 18 – U16 and U18 players – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All sessions will be held at the West Side Playground Soccer Field on West Grand Street. All players are asked to bring their own soccer ball. Bottled water will be supplied by the Nanticoke Recreation Board. Contact City Hall at 735-2800 for more information.

The Rock Recreation Center will be holding its Fourth Annual Fall Basketball Clinic for boys and girls in grades kindergarten through six and will focus on preseason preparation, conditioning, games and skill development for every child regardless of experience. It will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from Oct.19 to 28 with one-hour sessions for each age group. Times are as follows: kindergarten to first grade, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; second to third grade from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and fourth through sixth grade from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. For more information contact the Rock Recreation Center at 696-2769 or TheRockRecCenter@bmha.org.

Women’s weekend golf clinics with PGA/LPGA professional Kim Kleinle will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturdays at Sand Springs Country Club. They are open to women ages 16 and older. The cost is $15 per person per day. Participants will receive discounted green fees. The schedule is as follows: Sept. 26, putting and chipping; Oct. 3, pitching and short irons; Oct. 10, swinging in balance (full swing). Frozen Ropes training center is expanding its travel baseball program and is holding additional tryouts for its travel baseball teams each week starting the week of Sept. 28 through the week of Oct. 26. Days are as follows: 10U Mondays, 12U Tuesdays, 14U Wednesdays and 16U on Thursdays. All tryouts are at 7 p.m. Call to reserve your date/time at 208-2280.

The Kingston Rec Center youth indoor soccer program will be accepting registrations starting Thursday through Nov. 1 at the center. Cost is $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Dick McNulty Bowling League needs bowlers to fill their Tuesday night bowling league. The league is a men’s league with an 80 percent handicap. The Meyers Field Hockey Booster Club is hosting a Shoot-A-Thon Sunday at Miner Park. All players should be at the field for a 1:30 p.m. start. Friends and family can participate for a $5 entry fee. A Night At The Races will be held by the Plymouth Shawnee Indians Football/Cheerleading Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Independent Fire Company, Kingston. Doors open at 6 p.m. Cost per horse is $10. A Night At The Races will be held by the Crestwood Boys Basketball Booster Club on Oct. 3 at the Mountain Top Hose Co., Route 437, Mountain Top. Horses can be purchased for $10.
