Charles J. Prizniak

Charles J. “Chuck” Prizniak, 41, of East Grand Street, Nanticoke, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning at his home.

Born on Nov. 2, 1967, in Nanticoke, he was a son of Charles R. and Mary Ann (Lushefski) Prizniak, of Hanover section of Nanticoke. He graduated from John S. Fine High School, Nanticoke, in 1985.

Chuck was employed as a mechanic for the past 24 years, early with Cleveland Brothers and Latona Co. and last at H&K Group Co. at Pikes Creek.

He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and a social member of American Legion Post 350, Nanticoke. He loved biking on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and was always taking trips and participating in charity rides.

Surviving are his parents, Charles R. and Mary Ann Lushefski Prizniak, fiancée Jayme Hart; and her sons, Jesse and Casey Evancho; a sister, Gail Zaykoski, and her husband, James, Mt. Airy, Md.; a brother, Timothy Prizniak, Hanover section of Nanticoke; a nephew, Kyle Zaykoski; a niece, Amanda Zaykoski; uncles David Prizniak and his wife, Diane, Loomis Park, and Ronald Prizniak and his wife, Georgine, Alden Station; cousins Kim Rembish and her husband, Ken, and David Prizniak Jr. and his wife, Shannon, and Jennifer Prizniak.

Funeral services will begin on Friday at 9:30 a.m. from Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Stanislaus Church, W. Church Street, Nanticoke, with the Rev. James Nash as celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Contributions in his memory may sent to the family.
