Back Mountain Youth Lacrosse will hold a boys learn to play lacrosse clinic and a girls learn to play lacrosse clinic on Sunday and Nov. 1 at Center Street Park in Shavertown. The clinic, which is open to ages 6-17, will run from 3-5 p.m. and is free to the participants. Lacrosse sticks will be available. Any questions, please visit BMYLax.com or call 696-4440.

A free lacrosse clinic for girls ages 7-18 will be held in King’s Scandlon Gymnasium. The clinic will be directed by King’s College women’s lacrosse coach Laurie Anthony. She will be aided by King’s assistant coach Abigail O’Beirne and members of the Lady Monarch squad. King’s will provide lacrosse sticks for participants who do not own one of their own. All skill levels are welcome.



Mountain Top Youth Basketball reminds all perspective players in first through 12th grade that the deadline to register is Saturday. Registration can be done at online at www.leaguelineup.com/mybl. North Wilkes-Barre Little League will meet to discuss the upcoming 2010 season 6 p.m. Sunday at the Woodlands. All parents registering their children for the 2010 season are encouraged to attend this informative meeting. Registration swith a discounted fee will be taken after the meeting. Children must be 5 years old by May 1, 2010.

The Pittston Area Baseball Booster Club is having a very important reorganization meeting 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Red Mill. All parents of interested players are urged to attend. New officers are needed and will be voted on at this time. Any questions or interest please contact Joe at 650-2309.

The Wyoming Valley CYC’s Junior Basketball Officials will have an orientation meeting on Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served. The Junior Basketball Officials Club is open to boys and girls grade 7 through college. Participants have the opportunity to learn the skills and mechanics of basketball officiating. Kingston Baseball and Softball is looking for commissioners for its Tee-ball League and the Junior/Senior Teen Baseball League. Anyone interested should contact Bill McNulty at 331-4817.
