Edward H. Trumbower, 82, of Shavertown, passed away Friday in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He was born in Shavertown, a son of the late Edward Evertt and Lizzie Kittle Trumbower.
Edward was a graduate of Kingston Township High School and served in the Army during World War II.
He was employed as a manager for Pargas and in later years was employed as a controller for Trade Eastern Inc.
Preceding him in death were sisters Arlene Nulton and Florence Mathis, and brother Ord Trumbower.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Alice E.; daughters Elaine and her husband, Mark Turner, Hanover Township; Carol Ann and her husband, Charles Kearn, Bensalem; grandchildren Christine Turner, Mark Turner and his fiancée, Tricia Benscoter, Cynthia Krisanda and James Kearn; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 140 N. Main Street, Shavertown. Rev. Kenneth Brown, pastor of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church, Pikes Creek, will officiate. Interment will be held in Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
