Grace Agati Silver, 90, formerly of Hughestown, died Saturday, October 25, 2008, in the Golden Living Center-East Mountain, Plains Township.
Born in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Maria Ormando Agati. She was a graduate of West Wyoming High School and the Pittston Hospital School of Nursing. For many years, Mrs. Silver was employed at the Pittston Hospital. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church of Hughestown.
Preceding her in death were her brothers, Anthony Agati and Guy Agati; and her sisters, Lucy Agati and Angeline Costello.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Silver, Pittston; daughters Jacqueline Amico and her husband, Richard, West Pittston; Geraldine Walsh, West Pittston; three grandchildren, Attorney Michael A. Amico, Hernando Beach, Fla.; Nicholas D’Angelo, New York City; Grace Marie Amico, New York City; sisters Rosarie Koch, Vestal, N.Y; Josephine Anderson, Swoyersville; nieces; and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church of Hughestown. Interment was in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
