WVW students correspond with soldier

Several Wyoming Valley West seventh-grade English students corresponded with alumnus Mike Gronkowski, a soldier serving in Iraq. Gronkowski is a former student of English teacher Leslie Nicholas, who thought the opportunity to correspond with a soldier overseas, especially an alumnus, would be a great learning experience for the students. The students hoped to build Gronkowski’s morale. They invited him to visit the middle school when his tour of duty is complete.
