GAR Soccer Booster Club will meet at 7 p.m. today at Mag’s Halftime Pub, Moyallen Street, Wilkes-Barre. End of the year festivities will be discussed and voted on.


Back Mountain Senior and Junior American Legion Baseball will hold tryouts at the Dallas High School on the following dates and times: Sunday, 1-3 p.m. for juniors (ages 13-15) and 3-5 p.m. for seniors (ages 16-19); May 9, 4-6 p.m. for juniors and 6-8 p.m. for seniors. Players who live in the Dallas or Lehman school districts, along with Fairmont Township and Courtdale Borough, are eligible. Hanover Area Youth Soccer will hold its fall registration at the Hanover Area High School on May 6 and 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $50 for one child and $80 for a family up to three children. Heights Packers football and cheerleading will hold registrations on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Stanton Lanes. Cost is $35 for one child, $50 for two children and $60 for a family. Copy of a birth certificate is required at registration. Any questions call 823-6925 or 760-3925.

Mountaintop Bears travel soccer team will have a tryout on May 30 at the Dorrance fields from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The tryout is open to all players born between Aug. 1, 1997 and July 31, 1999. For you more information, contact Don Hopkins at 868-3105.

Valley Regional Girls Softball registrations are still open for the 13-17 division. Girls who turned 18 after Jan. 1, 2009 are still eligible to play. Games are played midweek afternoons during the summer at the complex in Drums. Cedar BMX is hosting an open house 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the Cedar BMX track in Newton-Ransom. Rain date will be on Sunday.
