LUZERNE COUNTY – The Wyoming Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross hosts community blood drives throughout the month.

Donors who are 16 years of age or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in relatively good health may give blood every 56 days.

In addition to those listed below, blood drives are conducted at the Red Cross regional blood center, 29 New Commerce Blvd., Hanover Industrial Park, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 1-6 p.m. and Thursdays, 1-7 p.m. Collections also take place every Monday from 9 a.m.-noon at the Hazleton Chapter House, 165 Susquehanna Blvd., Hazleton.

KINGSTON — The dental office of Dr. Gary Nataupsky, 575 Pierce St., is offering its adult patients free fluoride treatments.

HAZLETON — The Greater Hazleton Health Alliance Senior Choice Program is running a bus trip to Atlantic City, N.J., May 12. Bus tickets are $23 with a $20 rebate.

DALLAS TWP. — Misericordia University will celebrate National Nurses Week with a special Mass to honor members of the nursing profession on May 6 at noon at the Misericordia Chapel.

WILKES-BARRE – The Alzheimer’s Association, in coordination with Griswold Special Care, will hold a seminar, “Practical Tips for Dementia Caregivers,” on May 14 starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center, 60 S. River St.

The seminar will include a discussion about common problems experienced by caregivers and some proven strategies for problem solving.

HAZLETON – The Hazleton Area Lupus Support Group will hold a “Taming of the Wolf Festival” from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on May 16 at St. John Bosco Church, Conyngham.
