Holy Redeemer Boys Basketball Clinic will be held June 18-20 at Holy Redeemer High School gymnasium for boys grades four through nine. The schedule is as follows: grades four through six, 1-5 p.m. and grades seven through nine 8 a.m.-noon. Cost is $50 per player. For more information, contact coach Mark Belenski at 262-9562.

Nanticoke Area Basketball will be holding a basketball camp for boys and girls ages 7 to 14 from June 15-18 at Nanticoke Area School District gyms. Rock Recreation Center is now accepting applications for its sixth annual summer basketball camp sessions. The camps are open to boys and girlspre-K through sixth grade. Sixth annual First and Goal Football Clinic will be held July 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Crestwood High School. The one-day clinic will focus on fundamentals and position specifics, including strength training, speed development and rules of the game, provided by local coaches and speakers. Hanover Area Lady Hawks Booster Club will be having its annual reorganizational meeting today at the high school cafeteria at 7 p.m. Summer camp and summer leagues will be discussed along with the election of officers for the 2009-2010 season.

Plymouth Shawnee Indians are having a special meeting Sunday at the Plymouth Borough Building at 7:30 p.m. All are urged to attend.

REGISTRATIONS/TRYOUTS

Forty Fort Pioneers Soccer will hold final sign ups for the fall season Sunday from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Forty Fort Little League Field on Tripp Street. Registration fees are $30 for first player, $20 for 2nd child and $5 for additional children. A family fundraising fee of $40 is also due at registration. Children born between Aug. 1, 2003 and July 31, 2004, are eligible to play U-6 intramural soccer. Children born before Aug. 1, 2003 are eligible to play recreational soccer (U-7 through U-18). Forty Fort residency is not required.

Mountaintop Bears boys travel soccer team will have a tryout on Saturday at the Dorrance fields from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The tryout is open to all players (boys and girls)born between Aug. 1, 1997, and July 31, 1999. The players selected from the tryout will join the team for the fall season of 2009, which begins conditioning and practice in July of 2009. The Bears are looking for four to six new players. Greater Nanticoke Area Football Coaches Open Golf Tournament will be held on July 19 at Ron Jaworski’s Edgewood-in-the-Pines Golf Course, 222 Edgewood Lane, in Drums. The tournament begins with registration at noon; play begins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Food and refreshments will be provided. The GNA Football Coaches are hosting this tournament to raise money for much needed equipment and services. All proceeds benefit the GNA Football Program. A Ladies Invitational Four Player Scramble to benefit breast cancer research will be held on Monday, July 13, at Sand Springs Country Club. The cost per golfer is $55 which includes a $15 donation to the charity, golf and cart, continental breakfast, lunch and prizes. The first place team will receive free greens fees at Sand Springs for 30 days. Dleadline to enter is July 10. Call Chris at 570-788-5845 to sign up or for more information. Warrior Pride – Wyoming Area’s senior athletic-academic awards presentations – will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The program will last about an hour. Senior student athletes must wear proper attire. Refreshments in the cafeteria will follow the program and awards.
