Abington Wildcats win Northeast Stars ASA national qualifier tourney

The Abington Wildcats, a 16 and under travel softball team from Clarks Summit, last weekend won the Northeast Stars ASA national qualifier tournament held at Tripp Park in Scranton. The Wildcats defeated the Northeast Stars 3-1 in the championship game. Ashley Inman was named most valuable player of the tournament. The team is comprised of players from Abington Heights, West Scranton, Scranton and Tunkhannock high schools. Team members include Jenna Custer, Bryanna Gifford, Joetta Hashem, Ashley Inman, Cyndy Leonard, Kalee McKenna, Katelyn Molinaro, Megan Murray, Alexa Plevyak, Alivia Plevyak, Katie Stevens, Cailey Ware and Cheyanne Willis.
