Constance S. Zampetti

Mrs. Constance S. Zampetti of Wilkes-Barre passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Hampton House, Hanover Township, surrounded by her loving family and caregivers.

She was born July 6, 1924, in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Bruno and Mary Caruso.

Connie enjoyed cooking for her family on Sundays and loved reading her Bible and visiting with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a husband, John A. Zampetti; daughter, Loretta Zampetti; brothers, Philip, Anthony, William, Elmer, Francis and Joseph.

Surviving are her daughters, Diane Savakinas, Pittston; Sandy Guzo, Lancaster; sons, Michael Zampetti, Wilkes-Barre; John Zampetti, Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, whom she had an unending love for; and a sister, Mary Matello.

The family wishes to thank everyone at Hampton House for being a part of our mother’s life.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, Main Road, Hanover Green, with the Rev. Raj Pudhoda, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, from 6 to 9 p.m.
