Anthony Strish, of Swoyersville, died Saturday, December 26, 2009, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Larksville, he was a son of the late Joseph and Frances Cooper Strish. He resided in Swoyersville for the past 40 years.
Mr. Strish was a member of the Holy Trinity Church in Swoyersville. He was employed by Techneglass in Pittston until his retirement. He was a Little League coach in Swoyersville.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, the former Rose Konopka; sons, Anthony and Brian, of Swoyersville, and John, of Luzerne; brother, Joseph, of Larksville; sisters, Josephine Rock, Romaine Wilson, Jean Prushinski, of Larksville, and Joan Snopeck, of West Wyoming; grandchildren, John and Amanda.
Funeral services for Anthony will begin Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Church, Hughes Street, Swoyersville. Internment will be in the parish cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
