WVW rallies past GAR

PLYMOUTH – Wyoming Valley West used a big fourth quarter to rally from a 13-point deficit and defeat GAR 72-67 Sunday in an exhibition boys basketball game.

The Spartans trailed 56-43 after three quarters, but outscored GAR 29-11 over the final eight minutes. Jim Smicherko finished with a game-high 34 points and Eugene Lewis added 18 for Valley West.

Darian Twyman scored 22, Darrell Crawford had 19 and Shaliek Powell added 16 for GAR.
