Frank J. Pizano Jr., 69, of Exeter, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia.
Born on March 23, 1939, he was a son of the late Frank J. Pizano Sr. and Ida Littzi Pizano. He was a graduate of Exeter High School.
He was a former member of the Elks Club; UNICO, Kar Club, and the National Guard. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter. Prior to retirement, Frank and his father owned and operated F&F Pizano Trucking.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Marian Piatnik Pizano; sons, Frank J, Pizano III. and his partner, Rich Maggio, New Jersey; Joseph Pizano and his wife, Rhonda, Exeter; James Pizano and his wife, Renee, New Jersey; grandchildren, Rocco and Bianca Pizano; sister, Shirley Kardos, West Pittston; uncle, William Littzi, West Pittston; numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank was an active member in the community with such things as, but not limited to, helping in the development and construction of Wyoming Area’s football field during the merger, Exeter Little League, and Exeter Panther mini-football field.
Frank enjoyed attending Wyoming Area football games, where he watched his three sons and friends compete against other local schools. Frank and Marian took much pride going to UMass and Pitt football games. Frank cherished playing with and watching his grandchildren, Rocco and Bianca. His number one passion in life was simply spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, at 9 a.m. from the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 802 Susquehanna Avenue, West Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter. Interment will be in the West Pittston Cemetery.
