Steven C. “Zig” Seigfried, 55, 118 Hemlock Dr., Shickshinny, Pa., where he passed away on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at 11:40 p.m. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, on July 12, 1953, a son of Beatrice Garrison Seigfried and the late Albert Seigfried, who passed away in 2001. He attended the North West School System and enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and NASCAR.
He had been employed by the American Frame and Fabrication as a welder from July 1972 to January, 1979, Poloron as a press set-up from January, 1979 to 1986, Dura Bond (Legget & Platt) February 1979 to August 2005, and presently employed by Multiplex, starting on July 10, 2006 where his overall job description was Maintenance Mechanic.
He was a parishioner of the Grace Lutheran Church on Arch St., Berwick.
In addition to his wife, Melody (Stout) Seigfried, he is survived by a step-daughter, Jonelle Lieb and her son, Dylan Young, at home; three brothers, Mike Seigfried and his wife, Bonnie, Marco Island, Fla., Larry Seigfried and his wife, Gail, Hunlock Creek, Robert and his wife, Carol, Berwick; nephews, Michael, Brian, Timothy, Ryan, Scott Seigfried, Shane and Andrew stout; nieces, Amy Adams, Kristy Sowerby, Charity Holer, Ariell Stout and Madison Stout.
Services will be on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Joseph W. Nardi Funeral Home, 201 W. 2nd St., Berwick, with his Pastor, the Rev., Chad Hebrick, Pastor of the Grace Lutheran Church, officiating.
Visitation will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph W. Nardi Funeral Home.
